Rebecca Applin

Rebecca is a Composer for theatre, dance, radio and screen, with particular loves for musical theatre and actor-musicianship. She was the Cameron Mackintosh Resident Composer Award holder at the New Wolsey Theatre, Ipswich, and Mercury Theatre, Colchester. Recent commissions include THE BEAUTY PARADE(Wales Millennium Centre),HOURGLASS (The Mayflower Theatre) and PUSS IN BOOTS (Chipping Norton Theatre–score nominated for Best Music in the Great British Panto Awards). Other theatre credits include: THE INVISIBLE MAN (Queens Theatre Hornchurch);WIND IN THE WILLOWS (Mercury Theatre);THE LADYKILLERS (New Wolsey); 84CHARING CROSS ROAD (Cambridge Arts Theatre);SNOW QUEEN(Anton Benson Productions);WOMAN OF FLOWERS(Forest Forge);THE 45THMARVELLOUS CHATTERLEY VILLAGE FETE and many family shows as resident composer for Full House. Projects with British Youth Music Theatre include JABBERWOCKY (The Other Palace), CAUTIONARY TALE, and the musical film VANISHING POINT. She has worked on projects for BBC Learning Zones with Gamelab, two of which were nominated for BAFTA awards. Rebecca is represented by Nick Quinn at The Agency.
