Chris Curtis

Chris Curtis is a contemporary composer/ lyricist from New York City. He wrote songs for the Oscar® Nominated Netflix/Pearl Studio animated feature Over The Moon directed by Oscar®-winning Disney Animator Glen Keane. He has also written music for Walt Disney Animation (Disney Songwriter Program) DreamWorks (Spots and Trailer scores for Abominable.)

He recently scored, with Helen Park, AWAKENING: An Anthemic Celebration of Asian America produced by Peilin Chou and Netflix. He has also scored for programs on NBC, Discovery Channel and studied music at the New England Conservatory and the Juilliard School.

Chris’ musical Chaplin, played on Broadway and was nominated for eight Outer Critics Circle Awards including ‘Best Musical’ and ‘Best Score.’ Chaplin was also nominated for six Drama Desk Awards. The newly produced version of Chaplin has played in Russia, Brazil, Germany, Israel, Belgium, Holland, and Czech Republic.  His new musical Man Upon the Wall is being developed and workshopped in New York and he is also writing music and co-writing lyrics for a contemporary re-imagining of Jean Renoir’s French Can Can that is being produced for the West End in London. Chris recently signed a worldwide publishing deal with Kobalt Music!
