Sarah Brandt

Sarah Brandt is a graduate of Washington University in St. Louis where she received a BA in English and Writing. She has written three children’s theatre adaptations with her writing partner, composer and lyricist Neal Richardson. Works include My Father’s Dragon, A Peter Rabbit Tale, and The Nutcracker, all of which received Kevin Kline Award nominations for Outstanding Production for Young Audiences, and were originally commissioned by The Repertory Theatre of St. Louis for their touring children’s ensemble, Imaginary Theatre Company. Currently, Ms. Brandt is writing an original children’s play entitled Cammy Chameleon as well as a new musical adaptation of The Elves and the Shoemaker. She is a full member of the Dramatists Guild of America and Theatre for Young Audiences/USA.
