Sam Willmott

Sam Willmott is a NYC composer/lyricist, whose projects include the bhangra musical Bhangin’ It (with playwrights Mike Lew and Rehana Lew Mirza); Yo, Vikings! and the marionette show Wake Up, Daisy! with Marcus Stevens; the Emmy-nominated HBO documentary Song of Parkland; and the mini-musical Scarlet Takes a Tumble. Awards and honors: Richard Rodgers Award, Kleban Prize, a Jonathan Larson Grant, the Fred Ebb Award, the ASCAP Foundation Cole Porter and Harold Adamson Awards. Sam has taught at Harvard University, in Pace University’s BFA program, and for Lincoln Center’s Songwriting in Schools Program, and has also written over 150 songs for English Egg, a Korean language training program for little kiddos.
