S.J. Henschel

NYC trained actress and director, Sandi Henschel has performed with or directed for most of Rochester, NY’s leading theatre companies. She is the co-author of the children’s musical, GOTTA DANCE! and until she retired, Sandi was a co-founder and the artistic director for the Hourglass Play Reading Series. Some of her Rochester directing experiences include: For OOP, Inc.; The Children’s Hour and the outrageous comedy, Incorruptible. Elsewhere: For JCC: Survivors; For TYKEs: Little Red, Sleeping Beauty, Seussical, the Musical, Go Dog, Go!, and Goodnight Moon; For Shipping Dock: My Left Breast, The Waiting Room and Coming Home. Sandi is a contributing editor to AudioFile Magazine, and is the Voice of AudioFile on Reachout Radio, a PBS service for the blind and visually impaired, podcast on iTunes and airing three times weekly on WXXI.
