Rick Rhodes was a six-time Emmy Award-winning composer, along with wife/partner Vivian Rhodes. Aside from releasing two of his own CDs, Mr. Rhodes composed for films such as “True Lies,” “Mars Attacks!,” and “Wild Things.” Before his untimely passing in 2005, he had received an astounding total of twenty-seven Emmy nominations over his career. He was a mainstay composer for such shows as “Guiding Light,” “Santa Barbara,” and “Another World.” Rick was a founder and sat on the board of two theatrical production companies, The Santa Susana Repertory Company and The Kingsmen Shakespeare Company in Thousand Oaks, California. A true believer in “giving back to his community,” he created a dramatic academy at Oak Park High School in Southern California. Rick’s considerable talent lives on through his music and he would have been thrilled to see UG, THE CAVEMAN MUSICAL — his labor of love — come into its own.
