Jim Ansart wrote, directed and produced the 1966 World Premiere of The Death of Mary Walker in his parent’s basement in North Massapequa, New York. Other basement credits include The Death of Mr. Tibbetts, Nassau Avenue Follies, The Fatties and The Fatties are Back Again, which won best production as the sole entry in an award ceremony that occurred entirely in his mind. An actor, director and producer on Boston Area stages for the past 30 years, Jim has performed with SpeakEasy Stage Company, The New Repertory Theatre, The Publick Theatre, and The Boston Opera House. Director/producer credits include regional productions of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Auntie Mame, Chicago, and the Some Like It Hot benefit series at Boston’s Lyric Stage Company. The Paisley Sisters’ Christmas Special is Jim’s first and favorite book musical.
