Brian Feinstein

BRIAN FEINSTEIN is an award-winning, NYC-based composer, producer, and educator whose work has been celebrated by The New York Times, honored with six ASCAP Plus Awards, the Jonathan Larson Fellowship, and the Anna Sosenko Trust Award. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California School of Cinema and holds an MFA from the NYU Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Musical Theatre Writing Program.

Brian is currently adapting the classic Paramount film The Bad News Bears into a Broadway-bound musical, as well as developing The Man Who Ate the 747 (based on Ben Sherwood’s novel) and two family-friendly musicals: Notorious RBG (about Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg) for the Rose Theater in Omaha, and The Curious Case of the Snot-Nosed Diamonds for the Fantasy Playhouse in Huntsville, Alabama.

His original musicals include Mimi Le Duck (Off-Broadway, starring the legendary Eartha Kitt in one of her final stage performances), Girlstar (Signature Theatre, directed by two-time Tony Award® nominee Eric Schaeffer), The Dollmaker’s Gift (Rose Theater, Omaha), The Top Job (licensed nationwide), and The Circus is Coming to Town (awarded Best Family Musical in Southern California). His songs have been performed by vocalists and musicians worldwide, including at the renowned Boston Pops New Year’s Eve concert.

Brian’s passion for arts education led him to create the FeinLine Musical Theatre Academy, offering personalized instruction for actors and songwriters of all ages and experience levels, from beginner to pro, whether in-person or virtually. His teaching includes private songwriting and musical theatre writing classes, as well as his popular video series Superhero Songwriting for Kids, streaming on Broadway On Demand.

Beyond the stage, Brian is a dedicated dog lover and advocate for animal rescue initiatives across the country. (And thinks you should be too!)
