Priscilla’s Perfect Day
Music and Lyrics By
Richard Levinson
After penning Burt Reynolds’s country hit “Let’s Do Something Cheap and Superficial” ages ago, Richard Levinson entered the world of commercial jingles, winning all major advertising awards, including two Clios.
To atone, he writes satiric songs, many of which have appeared in productions for MTV, National Lampoon and Showtime, as well as in dozens of live shows with the Sacred Fools Theater Company, where he is a longtime member. His comedy music CDs, Unchartables Vols. I and II, have been regularly heard on Sirius Satellite Radio, and his less funny songs show up often in TV shows and movies.
Richard also wrote the music and lyrics for the “honky-tonk” musical Savin’ Up for Saturday Night, and the children’s musical Priscilla’s Perfect Day.
