Kenneth Jones

Kenneth Jones is a playwright, librettist, and lyricist. His play Alabama Story, a 2014 Finalist in the O’Neill National Playwrights Conference, premiered in 2015 at Pioneer Theatre Company in Salt Lake City. His play Two Henrys was a 2015 Semi-Finalist in the O’Neill NPC. His musical Naughty/Nice (with composer Gerald Stockstill) was a Semi-Finalist in the NAMT/National Alliance for Musical Theatre’s Festival of New Musicals and premiered in a 2013 concert version at Caroline’s On Broadway. He co-conceived the holiday musical It Happened One Christmas, premiered by Pioneer Theatre Company in 2015. His O. Henry-inspired musical Voice of the City (with composer Elaine Chelton) was developed by Off-Broadway’s York Theatre Company and Ohio’s Human Race Theatre Company. Award: With composer Gerald Stockstill, the 2010 Dottie Burman Songwriting Award from Manhattan Association of Cabarets and Clubs (MAC).
